The wind circulation of the passing and approaching Typhoon SARIKA (KAREN) will bring Tropical Storm Force Winds to Typhoon-Force Winds gusting from 75 to 100 kph, 100-130 kph, and 130 kph or more — across Eastern Bicol Region, Aurora, Portion of Southern Quezon, Northern Quezon, Eastern Quirino, and some provinces in Central Luzon beginning today or tonight (Oct 15) until Sunday morning or afternoon (Oct 16). Hence, the VIOLET, RED and ORANGE Wind Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas.
Rain or Wind Alert update will be automatically terminated if the weather system is no longer expected to bring more severe weather conditions.
WeatherPhilippines has upgraded its features with a current warning menu. Within this menu there are wind and rain warnings. These warnings will give you color coded alerts depending on its severity. This will show you an overview of the entire Philippine map and quickly determine weather warning alerts. This feature is currently available and ready for use. Below is the Weather Severity Matrix.
