Wind Alert Update #02 (As of 4:40 PM Sat Sep 15 2018)

Strong winds associated with Typhoon Mangkhut (OMPONG) will continue to impact Batanes and Babuyan Island GroupCagayanIlocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, ApayaoAbraKalinga, Mt. Province, Isabela, IfugaoBenguetNva. Vizcaya, Nva. EcijaQuirino, Aurora, Pangasinan, Zambales and Tarlac bringing blustery to extreme wind conditions and Moderate to High seas (3.0 to 6.0 m) and the Potential for Storm Surge/Coastal Flooding across the Whole Coastal Areas of Western Luzon – Today through Sunday afternoon (September 16)  The winds will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGERED, VIOLET (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible damaging winds of 75 to above 130 km/hr.
