Wind Alert Update #003 (As of 2:15 PM Sun July 30, 2017)

The combined effects of Tropical Storm HAITANG (HUANING) and strong surge of Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) will continue to bring gale to violent storm winds of 71 to 110 kph with significant wave heights of 7.5 to 11.5 m (high to very high) along the areas of Northern Ilocos Norte, Batanes Group of Islands, and Babuyan Group of Islands today (July 30). The winds will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Wind Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible damaging winds.
