Wind Alert Update #002 (As of 7:30 PM Sat July 29 2017)

The combined effect of Strong surge of the Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT), as induced by TROPICAL STORM 12W over the Luzon Sea and exiting TYPHOON NESAT (GORIO) are having its impacts felt across Batanes Island and Babuyan Island Group, including the Northernmost tip of Ilocos Norte bringing blustery wind conditions and High to Very High seas (5.5 to 9.0 m) within today through Sunday evening (July 30). The winds will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Wind Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible damaging winds of 71 to 100 km/hr.
