WeatherPhilippines Quarterly Report (Q2 2019)

Dear Partners,

Thank you for your continued support to WeatherPhilippines Foundation. Our inclusive partnership with your organization helps us significantly advance our shared goals.

The first half of 2019 has truly been productive. With your support, we are able to continuously report accurate weather data, gather donations to facilitate our sustainable operations, and support our activities, primarily our flagship training programs (Weather 101, Tropical Cyclone 101).

Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience Strategy
As more companies and organizations recognize the value of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) in protecting vulnerable communities and ensuring sustainability of all development efforts, we also shifted our strategies to go beyond providing weather information towards being a disaster resilience enabler and thought leader.

Today, we focus our efforts in implementing multi-sectoral capacity building programs such as the Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CBDRRM) training sessions and the strengthened #WeatherWiser Nation campaign. We are expanding our network and organizing more activities that will help our stakeholders mainstream DRRM in their policies and plans.
