WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 9pm December 24 until 9pm December 25, 2019

NORTHEASTERLIES (WEAK AMIHAN) still prevailing across BATANES – BABUYAN ISLAND GROUP, NORTHERN LUZON, EASTERN LUZON, SOUTHERN TAGALOG, including METROPOLITAN MANILA, BICOL REGION, MIMAROPA & KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG), bringing isolated to scattered light rain shower or thunderstorm.

As of 9:00 PM today, Typhoon PHANFONE is in the vicinity near Naval, Biliran Province as it continues to track West-northwestward with speeds of 25 km/hr towards Northern Iloilo and Capiz area in the coming hours. It was last seen near 139 km E of Carles, Iloilo (11.4N 124.4E), with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center. It will move into Sibuyan Sea early morning of Wednesday while maintaining its strength. Stay on alert as the Typhoon traverses Northern Visayas until it comes to pass.

THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with chances of isolated to scattered rain shower or thunderstorm in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
