WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 6pm September 20 until 6pm September 21, 2019

The combined effects of the SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) enhanced by the SEVERE TROPICAL STORM TAPAH (NIMFA), and its TROUGH continues, and these will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered to widespread light to moderate, and to at times heavy rain showers or thunderstorms across NORTHERN LUZON, WESTERN & CENTRAL LUZON, Metropolitan Manila, CALABARZON, BICOL REGION, MIMAROPA, including KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG) & NORTHERN VISAYAS. Winds of 30-50 kph is expected to prevail with 2 to 4 meters high waves, making the seas rough and dangerous to small and medium-sized sea vessels to navigate on. As of 5:00 PM today, STS NIMFA has moved slowly over the North Philippine Sea and was seen at about 649 km NE of Basco, Batanes (23.7N 127.1E), with maximum sustained winds of 95 kph near the center. THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have clear to cloudy skies with chances of isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
