WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 5pm July 29 until 5pm July 30, 2017

SEVERE TROPICAL STORM NESAT “GORIO,” intensified into full-fledged TYPHOON overnight as it aims for Eastern Taiwan, and was last seen near 331 km NNE of BASCO, BATANES and is now making landfall, while TROPICAL DISTURBANCE 92W strengthened quickly into a TROPICAL STORM overtime as it starts to move slowly parallel to the South of 11W. Both NESAT and 12W now have a direct interaction with one another which means the surge of the SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) remains strong, bringing blustery conditions over the KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP, EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON, REST of LUZON, MiMaRoPa, BICOL and VISAYAS Regions. The seas will become rough to very rough which may pose danger to medium to large-size sea crafts.

The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have some cloud cover and the possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms developing later.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
