The NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) is prevailing across BATANES – BABUYAN ISLAND GROUP, rest of NORTHERN LUZON, EASTERN LUZON, the BICOL REGION & NORTHERN VISAYAS, wherein partly cloudy to cloudy skies, cooler conditions with occasional drizzles, light to at times extreme rain showers can be expected in the mentioned areas. Fresh breeze to near Gale-force winds of 35 to 60 km/hr will blow along these areas, making the seas moderate to very rough sea state, and is dangerous to all types of sea vessels to navigate on.
As of 2:00 PM today, Tropical Depression RAMON resumed its slow Westward track off the East Philippine Sea and was seen at about 808 km E of Catarman, Northern Samar (11.6N 132.0E), with maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center. Its broad circulation however, is bringing mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers or thunderstorms across EASTERN SAMAR and NORTHERN MINDANAO.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
