WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 2pm September 28 until 2pm September 29, 2019

TROUGH of TROPICAL STORM MITAG (ONYOK) extends across the VISAYAS. This will bring some cloud cover and some isolated thunderstorms, while the NORTHEASTERLIES (WEAK AMIHAN) is bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies, moderate to fresh breeze with passing isolated to scattered rain showers or possible thunderstorms across BATANES and BABUYAN ISLAND GROUP and ILOCOS NORTE.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm MITAG (ONYOK) intensified from Tropical Depression overtime has entered the eastern border of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). As of 11:00 AM today, the center was located about km 1,106 km east-southeast of Basco, Batanes (16.4N Lat 131.5E Long). With maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and was moving swiftly Westward @ 30 kph towards the North Philippine Sea in the coming days. THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have clear to mostly cloudy skies with chances of isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
