A MONSOON TROUGH will affect MOST PARTS OF LUZON, MINDORO, MARINDUQUE, ROMBLON, BICOL REGION, and VISAYAS. Mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected along these areas. The trough is inter-connected from TROPICAL STORM 08W/TROPICAL DEPRESSION ROKE (FABIAN) located over the coast of Southern China to TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 99W located over the Philippine Sea, about 369 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (11.3N 128.8E).
Meanwhile, a SOUTHWESTERLY SURFACE WINDFLOW will bring partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with light occasional rain showers and thunderstorms across the KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG) AND THE SCARBOROUGH (PANATAG) SHOAL.
The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will continue to have mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with possible isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
