Meanwhile, SOUTHERLIES to SOUTHWESTERLIES (SOUTHWESTERLY SURFACE WINDFLOW) has developed as it is being enhanced by a SURFACE TROUGH anchored in Hainan, China. This will bring an increase in cloud cover and periods of occasional to widespread light to at times moderate rain showers or thunderstorm across the MIMAROPA including the KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG), WESTERN VISAYAS & CENTRAL VISAYAS, including the ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA.
In other news, TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 90W stays almost stationary near 1,132 km. E of Tandag City, Surigao Del Sur (9.2°N Lat 136.4°E Lon) – just between Republic of Palau and Yap State. The system is currently at LOW (<35% Chance) of becoming a significant Tropical Cyclone within the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have clear to partly cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers or possible thunderstorms developing in the afternoon or evening hours.
