WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm September 03 until 12pm September 04, 2019

TROUGH of SEVERE TROPICAL STORM LINGLING [LIWAYWAY] is bringing mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms across EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON, NORTHERN and  EASTERN LUZON.

Meanwhile, at 11:00 AM today, STS LINGLING [LIWAYWAY] was seen over the Northern Philippine Sea or about 198 km East of Basco, Batanes (20.3N 123.9E). It was moving N slowly @ 19 kph with maximum sustained winds of 95 kph near the center with no landfall expected.

In the meantime, the SOUTHWEST MONSOON and the SOUTHERLIES (SOUTHERLY SURFACE WINDFLOW) continue to prevailing and will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered to occasional light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across WESTERN LUZON, CENTRAL LUZON, METROPOLITAN MANILA, SOUTHERN TAGALOG, MIMAROPA, WESTERN VISAYAS and the KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG).

THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will be mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
