A MONSOON TROUGH will affect MOST PARTS OF LUZON, MINDORO, MARINDUQUE, ROMBLON, NORTHERN PALAWAN, VISAYAS, NORTHERN AND EASTERN MINDANAO. Mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected along these areas. The trough is inter-connected from TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 96W located over the West Philippine Sea, west of Manila to a WEAK LOW PRESSURE AREA (LPA) situated over Western Micronesia, southeast of Yap State.
Meanwhile, a SOUTHWESTERLY AND WESTERLY WINDFLOW will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with light scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across the KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG) AND THE SOUTHERN COASTAL AREAS OF MINDANAO.
The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will continue to have mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with possible isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in some areasespecially in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
