WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm July 14 until 12pm July 15, 2017

A long TROUGH associated with TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 94W, located near the east coast of Hainan Island – is extending across  CENTRAL & SOUTHERN LUZON, MiMaRoPa, VISAYAS and WESTERN MINDANAO. Mostly cloudy to Cloudy (Overcast) skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected along these areas.

Meanwhile, a surge of the SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) will bring cloudy skies with scattered to occasional rain showers and thunderstorms across the KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG) and the WESTERN SEABOARDS OF PALAWAN. Winds from 30-45 kph will be expected along these areas making the seas slight to moderate (1.0 to 3.0 meters).

The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers or thunderstorms especially in the afternoon or evening in some areas.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
