As of 09:00 AM today, TROPICAL DEPRESSION BOLAVEN (AGATON) was located 371 km west of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (9.9 N 115.4 E), already at the southwestern edge of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). It will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy conditions with heavy to extreme scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP.
NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) will provide mostly cloudy to cloudy conditions with light to moderate scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over EXTREME NORTHERN, NORTHERN, and EASTERN LUZON, BICOL REGION, MIMAROPA, and NORTHERN and EASTERN VISAYAS. Strong breeze to near gale winds of 45 to 60 kph with significant wave heights of 4.0 to 5.5 m (Rough to Very Rough) are expected to prevail across the mentioned areas making the seas risky to small and medium-sized sea vessels.
The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have partly to mostly cloudy conditions with the possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
