WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm Aug 23 until 12pm Aug 24, 2017

SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) – will continue to bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) conditions with occasionally light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across WESTERN & SOUTHERN LUZON including METRO MANILA, BICOL REGION, MIMAROPA, WESTERN VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP, and SCARBOROUGH (PANATAG) SHOAL. Moderate to strong southwesterly to southerly breeze 0f 20 to 40 kph will prevail across these areas. Sea conditions of slight to moderate swells (2.0 to 3.0 meters) will be expected, making it risky to small sea vessels.

Meanwhile, THE REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) conditions with the possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
