WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 7pm January 09 until 7pm January 10, 2020

Surge of NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) still affecting EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON including BATANES AND BABUYAN ISLAND GROUP.  Partly cloudy to cloudy, cooler conditions with passing light to at times moderate rain showers or thunderstorms will be expected. Fresh breeze to gale-force winds of 35 to 65 kph will blow, making the seas moderate to very rough (high seas) and dangerous to all types of sea vessels.

NORTHEASTERLIES (Northeasterly Surface Windflow) will affect EASTERN AND CENTRAL LUZON, CALABARZON, METRO MANILA, BICOL REGION, MIMAROPA, VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, NORTHERN AND EASTERN MINDANAO. Clear to cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected across these areas.

Meanwhile, a SURFACE TROUGH along the Celebes Sea will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across SOUTHERN MINDANAO including BANGSAMORO.

THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have clear skies to partly cloudy skies with chances of isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorm in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
