NORTHEASTERLIES (Northeasterly Surface Windflow/Weak Amihan) will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies, moderate to fresh breeze with isolated to scattered rain showers or possible thunderstorms across NORTHERN AND EASTERN LUZON, SOUTHERN QUEZON, AND NORTHERN BICOL REGION.
Meanwhile, at 2:00 PM today, NEOGURI (PERLA) has been upgraded into a TYPHOON as it remains over the North Philippine Sea and was located about 567 km East-Northeast of Basco, Batanes (21.6°N lat 127.3°E lon) . With maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center, gusting to 150 kph and was moving Northwest @ 13 kph. This storm is not a threat to the country and no effects will be expected from this system.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will remain clear to mostly cloudy skies with chances of isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
