Cold surge of the NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) will continue to affect EXTREME NORTHERN AND NORTHERN LUZON. Mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies, cooler conditions with isolated to occasional rain showers and a few thunderstorms will be felt along the abovementioned areas. This will be more frequent along the eastern sections. Fresh breeze to gale-force winds from 35 to 65 km/hr is expected and the seas around these areas will be moderate to very rough and dangerous to all types of sea vessels.
Meanwhile, a newly-formed WIND CONVERGENCE (define: Converging or meeting of the Northeasterly and Easterly Winds) will bring partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms across CATANDUANES, CAMARINES SUR, CAMARINES NORTE, SORSOGON, ALBAY, BURIAS ISLAND, CALABARZON, CENTRAL LUZON, METRO MANILA, ROMBLON, MARINDUQUE, AND ORIENTAL MINDORO.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have clear to mostly cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas.
Important note: In the infrared (IR) satellite image shown above: BLUE areas indicate Clear Skies with a Few Clouds; GREEN = Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies; YELLOW = Mostly Cloudy to Hazy Skies with Possible Slight-to-Moderate Rainfall; and RED = Thunderstorms with Moderate to Heavy to sometimes Extreme Rainfall.
