WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 3pm July 17 until 3pm July 18, 2019

TROPICAL STORM DANAS (FALCON) upgraded from TD and its TROUGH will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to widespread light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across THE REST OF LUZON including BATANES AND BABUYAN ISLAND GROUP, AND SCARBOROUGH (PANATAG) SHOAL.

Meanwhile, At 2:00 PM (0600 GMT) today, the exposed-center of TS DANAS (FALCON) was located about 236 km SE of Basco, Batanes (19.0°N 123.7°E), with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph, gusting up to 85 kph. It was moving North @ 22 kph towards Bashi Channel-East Taiwan Area.

Enhanced SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) will continue to bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to occasional light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across MIMAROPA; CALABARZON; METRO MANILA; VISAYAS; NORTHERN AND WESTERN MINDANAO; SULU ARCHIPELAGO; AND KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG). Winds of fresh breeze to gale-force winds of 35 to 65 km/hr will be expected along these areas, making the seas moderate to very rough (2.0 to 7.5 meters) and dangerous to all types of sea vessels.

THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will be mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with possible isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
