Surge of NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) continues to affect EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON, NORTHERN & EASTERN LUZON, BICOL REGION, SOUTHERN QUEZON, ORIENTAL MINDORO, MARINDUQUE, ROMBLON AND THE VISAYAS. This winter monsoon will bring cooler conditions with mostly cloudy to cloudy skies (overcast) and occasionally light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and possible thunderstorms. Fresh breeze to Gale-force Winds of 35 to 70 km/hr will blow, making the seas Rough to High (2.0 to 7.5 meters) and dangerous to all types of sea vessels to navigate on.
Meanwhile, a La Niña-enhanced SURFACE TROUGH is bringing mostly cloudy to cloudy skies (overcast) with scattered to widespread light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across MINDANAO and SOUTHERN PALAWAN.
The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have partly to mostly cloudy periods with the possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
