Enhanced SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) will continue to bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to occasional light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across the WESTERN SECTION OF CENTRAL LUZON, SOUTHERN LUZON, METRO MANILA, BICOL REGION, MIMAROPA, VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, AND THE KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG). The monsoon winds will be at moderate breeze to gale force (30-65 km/hr), making the seas moderate to high (1.5 to 5.5 meters) and dangerous to all sea vessels.
Meanwhile, TROPICAL STORM LEKIMA (HANNA) upgraded from TROPICAL DEPRESSION was located over the southern part of the North Philippine Sea with a slow northwest movement during the past 24 hours. As of 2:00 PM today, the center was located about 819 km east of Basco, Batanes (19.1°N lat, 129.7°E Lon), with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/hr and was moving Northwest @ 09 kph towards Northern Taiwan.
SOUTHWESTERLIES (Southwesterly Surface Windflow/Weak Habagat) will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies, breezy with isolated to scattered light rain showers rain showers and thunderstorms across WESTERN AND NORTHERN MINDANAO.
MONSOON TROUGH will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across NORTHERN LUZON.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will be mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
