TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 91W together with its WESTERN TROUGH will continue to bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated, scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms across MINDANAO AND SOUTHEASTERN VISAYAS. As of 11:00 AM today, the center of LPA 91W was located about 197 km East of Davao City (6.8°N 127.2°E) and is expected to move Westward slowly across Mindanao. This LPA has a low chance (<35%) of developing into a Tropical Cyclone within the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, prevailing NORTHEASTERLIES and EASTERLIES (Northeasterly and Easterly Surface Windflow) will continue to bring partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, moderate to fresh breeze with passing isolated to scattered rain showers or thunderstorms across BATANES and BABUYAN ISLAND GROUP, NORTHEASTERN AND SOUTHERN LUZON, BICOL REGION, ROMBLON, ORIENTAL MINDORO, THE REST OF VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, PALAWAN, AND KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will continue to have clear to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms developing later.
Important note: In the infrared (IR) satellite image shown above: BLUE areas indicate Clear Skies with a Few Clouds; GREEN = Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies; YELLOW = Mostly Cloudy to Hazy Skies with Possible Slight-to-Moderate Rainfall; and RED = Thunderstorms with Moderate to Heavy to sometimes Extreme Rainfall.
