Surge of the NORTHEAST MONSOON (Northeasterly Surface Windflow/Weak Amihan) is affecting NORTHERN AND EASTERN LUZON including BATANES AND BABUYAN GROUP OF ISLANDS. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies, cooler conditions with occasional drizzles to light rain showers will be expected. Fresh breeze to gale-force winds of 35 to 65 kph will blow, making the seas moderate to very rough/high seas and dangerous to all types of sea vessels.
Meanwhile, NORTHEASTERLIES (Northeasterly Surface Windflow) will affect the REST OF LUZON, MIMAROPA, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, VISAYAS, KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP, NORTHERN AND EASTERN MINDANAO including ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA. Clear to cloudy skies with moderate to fresh breeze and some chances of passing drizzles, light rain showers or thunderstorms will be expected.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will continue to have clear skies with partly cloudy and some chances of isolated to scattered rain showers or thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
*There are no developing Tropical Disturbances (LPAs) across the Western Pacific Ocean and the Philippine Sea at this time.
Important note: In the infrared (IR) satellite image shown above: BLUE areas indicate Clear Skies with a Few Clouds; GREEN = Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies; YELLOW = Mostly Cloudy to Hazy Skies with Possible Slight-to-Moderate Rainfall; and RED = Thunderstorms with Moderate to Heavy to sometimes Extreme Rainfall.
