The Surge of NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) will continue to bring partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, cooler conditions with passing light to at times heavy rain showers and possible thunderstorms across LUZON including METROPOLITAN MANILA, BICOL REGION, AND NORTHERN VISAYAS…becoming more frequent along EXTREME NORTHERN AND EASTERN LUZON-CATANDUANE-ALBAY-SORSOGON-MASBATE. Winds will be fresh to gale-force of 35 to 65 kph, making the seas moderate to very rough/high seas (2.0 to 7.5 meters) and is treacherous for all types of sea vessels to navigate on.
Meanwhile, NORTHEASTERLIES (Northeasterly Surface Windflow/Weak Amihan) will bring clear to mostly cloudy skies with moderate to fresh breeze and passing isolated rain showers or thunderstorms across PALAWAN, MINDORO, MARINDUQUE, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, AND THE REST OF VISAYAS.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have clear skies to partly cloudy skies with chances of isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
Important note: In the infrared (IR) satellite image shown above: BLUE areas indicate Clear Skies with a Few Clouds; GREEN = Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies; YELLOW = Mostly Cloudy to Hazy Skies with Possible Slight-to-Moderate Rainfall; and RED = Thunderstorms with Moderate to Heavy to sometimes Extreme Rainfall.
