TROUGH of a newly-developing TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 91W located some 427 km ESE of Basco, Batanes (19.0N 125.8E) will bring partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across CAGAYAN, AND THE BATANES AND BABUYAN ISLAND GROUP. This LPA has a LOW chance (<35%) of developing into a Tropical Cyclone within the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, WESTERLIES/SOUTHERLIES (Westerly and Southwesterly Surface Windflows) will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy skies, breezy conditions with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP, BICOL REGION, AND NORTHERN SAMAR.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
*There are no Tropical Cyclones spotted within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at this time.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
