WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 1pm Aug 25 until 1pm Aug 26, 2018

Surge of the SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) as enhanced by TD 24W (LUIS) and LPA 93W (both already outside of PAR) will continue to affect NORTHERN AND CENTRAL LUZON including BATANES AND BABUYAN GROUP OF ISLANDS, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO, METRO MANILA, AND CALABARZON. Mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to widespread light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected, becoming more frequent along ILOCOS REGION. The winds will be fresh to Gale Force (35 to 70 km/hr), making the seas moderate to very rough/high seas  (2.0 to 7.5 meters) and dangerous to all types of sea vessels.

Meanwhile, a SURFACE TROUGH is bringing mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across EASTERN AND SOUTHERN MINDANAO.

The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have clear to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
