WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 1pm Aug 08 until 1pm Aug 09, 2018

Weak to Moderate SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) enhanced by LPA 96W & TS YAGI (KARDING) – will continue to affect the WESTERN SECTIONS OF CENTRAL LUZON, METRO MANILA, CALABARZON, BICOL REGION, MIMAROPA, WESTERN VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP, AND ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA. Mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated, scattered to occasional rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected. The winds will be fresh breeze to near-gale (35 to 60 km/hr), making the seas moderate to very rough (2.0 to 5.5 meters) and dangerous to small and medium sea vessels.

Meanwhile, a MONSOON TROUGH is oscillating across NORTHERN LUZON incl. BATANES AND BABUYAN GROUP OF ISLANDS, and THE REST OF CENTRAL LUZON, where partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected.

The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
