WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm Oct 18 until 12pm Oct 19, 2018

Surge of NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) approaching BATANES AND BABUYAN GROUP OF ISLANDS AND ILOCOS NORTE. Partly to mostly cloudy skies with passing light to at times moderate rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected over the areas. Winds will be fresh to strong breeze (35 to 50 kph) with moderate to rough seas (2 to 4 meters), making it risky for small and medium-sized sea vessels.

Meanwhile, NORTHEASTERLIES (Northeasterly Surface Windflow) will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies, fresh breeze with passing isolated to scattered rain showers or thunderstorms across CAGAYAN VALLEY, KALINGA AND APAYAO.

TROUGH of a WEAK LOW PRESSURE AREA (LPA) will still bring mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms across MINDANAO, VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, AND PALAWAN including KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP.

Elsewhere, THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have clear to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in during the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
