There are no developing Tropical Disturbances (LPAs) across the Western Pacific Ocean, the Philippine Sea and the South China Sea at this time. However, a SURFACE TROUGH persists along the SULU Archipelago which extends to the SOUTHERN tip of WESTERN MINDANAO. This will increase the chances for afternoon to early evening thunderstorms to develop overtime.
The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have clear to partly cloudy skies with the possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms developing later.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
Important note: In the infrared (IR) satellite image shown above: BLUE areas indicate Clear Skies with a Few Clouds; GREEN = Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies; YELLOW = Mostly Cloudy to Hazy Skies with Possible Slight-to-Moderate Rainfall; and RED = Thunderstorms with Moderate to Heavy to sometimes Extreme Rainfall.
