WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm July 16 until 12pm July 17, 2018

SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) is bringing mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to occasional rain showers and thunderstorms across the WESTERN SECTIONS OF WESTERN LUZON, METRO MANILA, MINDORO, PALAWAN, and KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP, BICOL REGION & REST OF VISAYAS. Winds of 35 to 55 kph (fresh breeze to near-gale) will blow across these areas, making the seas moderate to very rough (2.5 to 5.5 meters) and dangerous to small and medium-type sized sea vessels.

MONSOON TROUGH will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across the NORTHERNMOST TIP OF LUZON & EXTREME NORTHERN LUZON, while at 10:10AM today, TROPICAL DEPRESSION 11W (HENRY) was seen near 282 km ENE of Santa Ana, Cagayan ( 19.0N 124.7E) and is accelerating West-northwest to Westerly track at 33 kph across the BABUYAN ISLAND GROUP .

Meanwhile, at 8:00 AM today, the center of Active LPA 94W was located about 887 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.1N 130.4E), and the potential of becoming a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours is MEDIUM (35-65% chance).

The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
