WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm July 13 until 12pm July 14, 2018

SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) will continue to bring partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to occasional rain showers and thunderstorms across the WESTERN SECTIONS OF CENTRAL LUZON, MINDORO, PALAWAN, and KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP. Winds of 30 to 55 kph (fresh breeze to near-gale) will blow across these areas, making the seas moderate to very rough (2.0 to 5.5 meters) and dangerous to small and medium-type sized sea vessels.

MONSOON TROUGH will bring partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across NORTHERN AND CENTRAL LUZON, BICOL REGION, EASTERN VISAYAS, AND NORTHEASTERN MINDANAO.  Meanwhile, at 8:00 AM today, the center of LPA 94W was located about 832 km East of Surigao City (9.7N 133.1E), and the potential of becoming a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours remains LOW (<35% chance).

SOUTHWESTERLIES (Southwesterly Surface Windflow) will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to osccasional rain showers and thunderstorms across WESTERN VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, and ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA.

The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
