WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm July 12 until 12pm July 13, 2018

SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) will continue to bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with occasionally light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across the WESTERN LUZON, METRO MANILA, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, AND KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP. Winds of 30 to 55 kph (fresh breeze to near-gale) will blow across these areas, making the seas moderate to very rough (2.0 to 5.5 meters) and dangerous to small and medium-type sized sea vessels.

SOUTHWESTERLIES & WESTERLIES (Southwesterly and Westerly Surface Windflows) will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to osccasional rain showers and thunderstorms across BICOL REGION, REST OF VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, WESTERN AND SOUTHERN MINDANAO.

TROUGH OF TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 94W will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to widespread rain showers and thunderstorms across THE REST OF MINDANAO AND EASTERN VISAYAS.  At 10:00 AM today, the center of the newly-formed LPA 94W was located about 964 km East of Surigao City (10.2N 134.3E). The potential of becoming a significant tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours is LOW (<35% chance).

Meanwhile, the REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
