SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) AND THE CIRCULATION OF EX-TD 04W (EGAY) will continue to bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to occasional light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across LUZON including METRO MANILA, BATANES AND BABUYAN GROUP OF ISLANDS, MIMAROPA, WESTERN VISAYAS, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, AND THE KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG). Winds of 30 to 50 km/hr (fresh to strong breeze) will blow, making the seas moderate to rough (2 to 4 meters) and risky for small and medium-sized sea vessels.
Meanwhile, TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) EX-04W [EGAY] has been downgraded from a TROPICAL STORM (TS) and TROPICAL DEPRESSION (TD) respectively, during the past 24 hours. Its remnants is now over the Balintang-Bashi Channel Area. At 12:00 PM today, it was located at sea about 167 km East of Basco, Batanes (near 20.3N 123.6E), with maximum sustained winds of 35 km/hr near the center. It was moving WNW @ 21 km/hr.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will have mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with possible isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
