WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm January 27 until 12pm January 28, 2018

Surge of the NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) bringing slightly cooler conditions, mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) conditions with occasionally light to at times moderate rain showers and thunderstorms across LUZON, ORIENTAL MINDORO, MARINDUQUE, ROMBLON, BICOL REGION, AND EASTERN VISAYAS.  The winds will be fresh breeze to Near-Gale Winds (30 to 55 kph) across these areas, with moderate to rough seas (2.0 to 5.5 meters) and risky for small and medium-sized sea vessels.

Meanwhile, the REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have clear skies to mostly cloudy periods with the possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening in some areas.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
