WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm January 15 until 12pm January 16, 2018

NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) will provide mostly cloudy to cloudy conditions with light to at times moderate scattered rain showers or thunderstorms over EXTREME NORTHERN, NORTHERN, and EASTERN SECTIONS of LUZON, MARINDUQUE, MINDORO, BICOL REGION, and VISAYAS. Fresh breeze to Strong breeze of 35 to 45 kph with significant wave heights of 2.5 to 4.0 m (Moderate to Rough) are expected to prevail across the mentioned areas making the seas risky for small and medium-sized sea vessels.

SURFACE TROUGH will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered to widespread light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across MINDANAO and SOUTHERN PALAWAN.

The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or late evening hours.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
