Strong surge of the NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) will continue to prevail across LUZON & VISAYAS including MIMAROPA, BATANES AND BABUYAN ISLAND GROUP, KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, AND THE NORTHERN AND EASTERN PARTS OF MINDANAO. Clear to cloudy skies, cooler conditions with occasional drizzles to light to at times moderate rain showers and possible thunderstorms will be expected over the above mentioned areas. Fresh breeze to gale-force winds of 35 to 65 kph will blow, making the seas moderate to very rough/high seas and dangerous to all types of sea vessels.
Meanwhile, THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will continue to have clear skies with partly cloudy and some chances of isolated to scattered rain showers or thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
*There are no developing Tropical Disturbances (LPAs) across the Western Pacific Ocean and the Philippine Sea at this time.
Important note: In the infrared (IR) satellite image shown above: BLUE areas indicate Clear Skies with a Few Clouds; GREEN = Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies; YELLOW = Mostly Cloudy to Hazy Skies with Possible Slight-to-Moderate Rainfall; and RED = Thunderstorms with Moderate to Heavy to sometimes Extreme Rainfall.
