WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm February 01 until 12pm February 02, 2018

Another surge of the NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) and a TAIL-END OF A COLD FRONT are bringing slightly cooler conditions, partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) conditions with occasionally light to at times moderate rain showers and possible thunderstorms across EXTREME NORTHERN AND NORTHERN LUZON, SCARBOROUGH (PANATAG) SHOAL, AND KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP (KIG).  The winds will be fresh breeze to Near-Gale Winds (30 to 55 kph) across these areas, with moderate to rough seas (2.0 to 5.5 meters) and risky for small and medium-sized sea vessels.

Meanwhile, NORTHEASTERLIES (Northeasterly Surface Windflow) bringing partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with occasional drizzles to light rain showers to at times moderate rain showers and some thunderstorms across EASTERN VISAYAS AND NORTHEASTERN MINDANAO.

Meanwhile, the REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have clear skies to mostly cloudy periods with the possibility of isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening in some areas.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
