A weakening NORTHEAST MONSOON (AMIHAN) together with the TAIL-END OF STATIONARY FRONT (across Bicol and Visayas) will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies, cooler conditions with scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across SOUTHERN QUEZON, BICOL REGION, ROMBLON, VISAYAS, AND SULU ARCHIPELAGO. Fresh breeze to Near Gale-Force Winds of 35 to 55 km/hr from the northeast will blow, making the seas moderate to very rough (high seas) [2.0 to 5.5 meters] and dangerous to all types of sea vessels. Residents must stay on alert and take all necessary precautions against flash floods and landslides during the occurrence of severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the TROUGH of WEAK LOW PRESSURE AREA (LPA) will continue to bring partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across MINDANAO. This LPA is now expected to intensify.
THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will continue to be clear to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms developing later.
Important note: In the infrared (IR) satellite image shown above: BLUE areas indicate Clear Skies with a Few Clouds; GREEN = Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies; YELLOW = Mostly Cloudy to Hazy Skies with Possible Slight-to-Moderate Rainfall; and RED = Thunderstorms with Moderate to Heavy to sometimes Extreme Rainfall.
