WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm August 13 until 12pm August 14, 2019

Moderate SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) enhanced by TROPICAL STORM KROSA located south of Japan (outside of PAR) will continue to bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms across BATANES AND BABUYAN GROUP OF ISLANDS, NORTHERN AND WESTERN SECTIONS OF NORTHERN LUZON, CENTRAL LUZON including METROPOLITAN MANILA. The winds will be at moderate breeze to near gale (30-55 km/hr), making the seas moderate to high (1.5 to 5.5 meters) and very risky/dangerous to small and medium sea vessels.

Meanwhile, SOUTHWESTERLIES (Southwesterly Surface Windflow/Weak Habagat) will bring clear to mostly cloudy skies with breezy conditions and some possible isolated light rain showers or thunderstorms across SOUTHERN LUZON, BICOL REGION, MIMAROPA, KALAYAAN ISLAND GROUP, SULU ARCHIPELAGO, AND THE VISAYAS.

THE REST OF THE COUNTRY will  continue to be clear to mostly cloudy skies with chances of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

*There are no Tropical Cyclones spotted within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at this time.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for possible flashfloods, landslides or lightning strikes during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
