WeatherPhilippines Daily Graphical Satellite Analysis from 12pm Aug 20 until 12pm Aug 21, 2018

SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) continues to prevail across WESTERN SECTIONS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN LUZON including SCARBOROUGH (PANATAG) SHOAL, METRO MANILA, BATANES GROUP OF ISLANDS, CAVITE, BATANGAS, AND LAGUNA. Partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to widespread light to moderate to at times heavy rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected, becoming more frequent along the western coastal areas of the abovementioned areas. The winds will be fresh to strong breeze (30 to 50 km/hr), making the seas moderate to rough (2.0 to 4.0 meters) and risky for small and medium seacrafts to navigate on.

The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have partly to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.

**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
