Surge of the SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT) as enhanced by TS RUMBIA (outside of PAR) will continue to prevail across THE WESTERN SECTIONS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN LUZON including BATANES ISLAND GROUP AND THE SCARBOROUGH (PANATAG) SHOAL. Partly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with scattered to occasional rain showers and thunderstorms will be expected, becoming more frequent along Batanes and the Western Coastal Areas of Ilocos Region. The winds will be fresh breeze to near-gale (35 to 55 km/hr), making the seas moderate to very rough (2.0 to 5.5 meters) and dangerous to small and medium seacrafts to navigate on.
Meanwhile, the westernmost TROUGH (or Extension) of TROPICAL DISTURBANCE (LPA) 90W will bring mostly cloudy to cloudy (overcast) skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across EASTERN MINDANAO including DINAGAT AND SIARGAO ISLANDS.
The REST OF THE PHILIPPINES will have clear to mostly cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in some areas especially in the afternoon or evening.
**Residents are advised to be on alert for POSSIBLE FLASHFLOODS, LANDSLIDES OR LIGHTNING STRIKES during the occurrence of Severe Thunderstorms.
Important note: In the infrared (IR) satellite image shown above: BLUE areas indicate Clear Skies with a Few Clouds; GREEN = Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies; YELLOW = Mostly Cloudy to Hazy Skies with Possible Slight-to-Moderate Rainfall; and RED = Thunderstorms with Moderate to Heavy to sometimes Extreme Rainfall.
