|Current Status and Outlook||
Typhoon LINGLING (LIWAYWAY) moving closer to Miyakojima as it continues to move north slowly and intensify…expected to move out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this afternoon.
24-hr Outlook: TY LINGLING (LIWAYWAY) is forecast to continue moving northward across the East China Sea with an accelerated forward speed of 14 km/hr. It will further intensify reaching wind speeds of about 180 km/hr on Friday early morning (Sept 06).
This typhoon will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and bring cloudy skies with passing scattered to at times widespread rain showers and thunderstorms with squalls (sudden gust of winds) across Extreme Northern Luzon, and the Western Sections of Northern Luzon particularly Ilocos Region, Cordillera Autonomous Region (CAR) and the Batanes & Babuyan Island Group today.
