The thick rain bands associated with the enhanced Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and Typhoon PHANFONE (URSULA) will bring moderate to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) across Batanes & Babuyan Island Group, Calayan Island Group, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, Polilio Island, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Abra, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Ifugao, Nva. Vizcaya, Pangasinan, Zambales, Tarlac, Bataan, Bajo de Masinloc, Lubang Island, Occidental Mindoro, Calamian Islands, Group of Coron Island, Palawan, & the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG) – Today through Friday evening (December 27). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED & VIOLET Rain Alert have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the Severe Weather Warning has been lowered.
