Rain Alert Update No. 23 (As of 6:45 PM Sat Aug 25, 2018)

Moderate to Strong Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) enhanced by Tropical Depression 24W (LUIS) and Tropical Disturbance 93W (LPA) both outside the PAR line continues to bring moderate, heavy to extreme rainfall (30 to more than 100 mm) over Batanes and Babuyan Island Group, Cagayan, Ilocos Provinces, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Nva.Vizcaya, Nva. Ecija, BenguetLa Union, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Zambales and Bataan  Today through Sunday evening (August 26). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE, RED, and VIOLET Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
