Rain Alert Update No. 12 (As of 7:50 AM Sun October 22, 2017)

The combined effects of the NORTHERLY and SOUTHWESTERLY WIND FLOW and the newly-established MONSOON TROUGH are bringing Moderate Rainfall (30 to 50 mm) over Eastern Luzon, parts of Southern LuzonWestern & Central Visayas, including Palawan – beginning today through Monday morning (October 23). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warning) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, the weather should improve already as the Rain Alerts have now been lowered.
