Moderate Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to bring moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) over Batanes Island Group; Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Nva. Ecija, Nva. Vizcaya, Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Metropolitan Manila, Quezon, Cavite, Batangas, Bataan, Corregidor Island, Lubang Island, Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro – Today through Tuesday afternoon (August 14). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE & RED Rain Alert (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.
