The Southwest Monsoon (HABAGAT) will continue to prevail bringing moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) across Batanes Island Group; Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, La Union, Ifugao, Nva. Ecija, Tarlac, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metropolitan Manila, Cavite, Batangas; Lubang Island and Oriental Mindoro; Aklan, Antique, Iloilo; Calamian Island Group including the Kalayaan Island Group (KIG) today through Sunday morning (June 17). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides. Elsewhere, Rain Alert Warnings have now been lowered.
