The thick rain bands associated with the approaching Trough of Tropical Disturbance (LPA) 91W will bring moderate to heavy rainfall (30 to 100 mm) across Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Ticao, Masbate & Biliran Islands, Samar, Leyte, Bohol, Cebu, Negros, Panay, & Siquijor Islands, Dinagat & Siargao Islands, Zamboanga Del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Lanao Del Norte, Lanao Del Sur, Camiguin Island, Bukidnon, Agusan Del Norte, Agusan Del Sur, Surigao Del Norte, Surigao Del Sur, Davao Del Norte, Davao Oriental, and Compostela Valley – today through Friday afternoon (January 19). The rains will be more frequent along the coastal and mountain slope areas of these affected provinces. Hence, the ORANGE and RED Rain Alerts (Severe Weather Warnings) have been hoisted along these areas. Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash flood and landslide.
Elsewhere, the weather should have improved as the Rain Alerts are now lowered.
